Problem:

A petroleum refining company in Canada with a total strength of 1009 employees in 2021 is expanding its operations and requires 208 additional staff in 2022 in various grades as shown in the table below. 

  1. Calculate the net manpower the company should recruit externally in 2022 in each grade, considering the retirements, transfers, turnover, and promotions which are anticipated below in 2021.
  2. Looking at the number and level of staff that must be recruited externally, what sources could be available to the company for seeking external applicants.
