Water flows through a horizotal 45 deg reducing bend with a 36 inch. diameter upstream and a 24 inch diameter downstream, at the rate of 20 cfs under a pressure of 15 psi at the upstream end of the bend. Neglecting head loss in the bend, calculate the forces exerted by the water on the bend.
