Mrs. Jackson is a 72-year-old female that had bowel resection surgery this morning for colon cancer.
Post-operative Orders
Diet: NPO except for sips of water with po meds.
24 % O2 via nasal prongs to maintain O2 saturation > 95%
Incentive Spirometer Q1h while awake
Jackson Pratt drain care
Foley catheter to gravity
D5½ NS @ 125mL/hr.
Lasix 20mg po daily.
Potassium 500mg po BID
Synthroid 125mcg po daily
Vancomycin 1gm IV Q8hrs
Morphine 5-10mg q3-4h prn.
Gravol 25-50mg q3-4h prn
