As employers strive to offer benefits and services to an increasingly diverse workforce, they sometimes encounter backlash from employees who resent their policies. For example, some employees may not approve of spending on childcare facilities, given that the facilities benefit some employees, but not others. Alternatively, some employees may not approve of policies that give equal treatment to spouses and domestic partners. Do you think employers should avoid offering a benefit if a substantial minority of its employees object to it?
