Discuss an area of improvement or underperformance and review and analyze available data to suggest interventions for improving healthcare quality in Out Patient Department in a Hospital by using the phases of quality improvement cycle.

1. An evaluation of existing processes in the out patient department that demonstrates how this area of improvement impacts healthcare and its provision. Are there short- or long-term projections regarding this issue that shows negative impact connected with this area? How is the future improved by improvement in this area?

2. Using your knowledge of performance measurement and health care quality, discuss how you would critically analyze and address the problem. In your discussion include what data is re-quired (at least one source of administrative data and one source of clinical data), the relevant data collection methods and tools to measure, assess, and address this problem, and how the data will be analysed. To adequately define the quality issue and measure the impacts of improvement initiatives, explore more than one data collection method and data analysis tool.

3. How you would monitor and refine your proposed interventions in order to sustain improvement and ensure improved processes are integrated into healthcare delivery.
