Assignment:

Precious Ervin Good evening all Identify one court case mentioned in any of the three assigned articles listed in the Lesson page and provide a brief synopsis (one to three sentences) of the case, the court's ruling, and finally, your analysis of the soundness of the court's judgment. Riley v California is a case that establishes that law enforcers must obtain a warrant before searching devices such as mobile phones, laptops, and computers seized during a seizure. Failing to do this can have being thrown out of court for illegal search and seizure Was the ruling consistent with other Fourth Amendment rulings related to physical searches and seizures? The ruling proved that devices such as the one mentioned above contain valuable personal information.

Searching these items goes against the 4th amendment right of unreasonable searches. This is a violation because you can find more than one person's activity on their personal device. Things like medical records, finance and financial institutions, personal matters, love quarrels and more. What arguments found in any of the three articles do you endorse, and which ones do you reject?

Please explain your rationale for either supporting or rebuffing these arguments. Although I stated that in the case of Riley v California, Riley's rights were violated and the evidence was suppressed because the evidence obtained was done illegally. I believe that when investigating a case, all evidence should be obtained by using proper protocol.
