Lena, who was born and raised in Germany, has been at an aged care facility for two weeks. She doesn't speak English very well and finds it difficult to understand things that people say. She usually smiles and nods her head when people speak to her. She thinks it's easier for her to do this.
Annie is Lenaas care worker, select the four appropriate strategies Annie need to take to communicate effectively with Lena.
1. Annie should only smile and nod her head back at Lena.
2. Annie should also get help from others who speaks German.
3. Annie should carefully observe/ listen to Lena and use illustrations, photos and diagrams to help get messages across to Lena
