Julia Marco is pregnant with her second child. During her first, she did not attend childbirth classes. She received an epidural for the birth. During a prenatal visit, Julia tells you that she would now like to have natural birth in a birthing center. She asks you for information on childbirth education courses. Her husband, Joe, wants Julia to go to the hospital and have an epidural like the last time. He insists, "The doctors know what they are doing. We should just let them do their job." After further speaking with Joe, you discover that he doesn't want Julia to go through the pain of natural childbirth and fears that he will not be able to help her during labor.
