Scenario

Imagine you are the admissions representative at a nursing home. Your supervisor informs you that the organization is struggling financially and she needs you to improve the facility's admission rates of Medicare patients. She wants you to begin meeting with the discharge nurses at local hospitals and encourage them to send their patients to your nursing home instead of your main competitor. The supervisor states that she wants you to start taking them to lunch and, if the referrals increase, take them to lunch on a quarterly basis.
