The patient's admitting diagnoses were abdominal pain and ventral wall hernia. The woman presented for hernia repair. At the time of surgery, she was noted to have numerous mid-abdominal adhesions of the peritoneum, mostly in the area of a previous midline scar. Sharp lysis of the extensive adhesions was undertaken, and then the hernia was repaired with mesh via laparoscopic approach. Postoperatively, the patient did very well.
