Procedure of Examining Foot
Let us learn the steps of examining the foot and identify foot at risk.
Steps to follow:
1. Make the patient comfortable.
2. Provide privacy.
3. Explain the procedure to the patient.
4. Take history as per the format. You have learnt in Practical 1 how to take history.
5. Record details in the format as explained.
6. Clinical examination of foot, observe the changes and record.
7. Carry out simple clinical test as explained.
8. Record the observations.
9. Make patient comfortable.
10. Explain the condition to patient and family.
11. Refer the patient to a doctor.
