Fracture - It is a break of a bone. Bone fracture are of many types -

(i) Green stick fracture - It is merely a crack, the bone remains partly intact.

(ii)     Simple fracture - Bone breaks completely into two parts.

(iii) Comminuted fracture - Bone breaks into more than 2 pieces.

(iv) Compound fracture - Bone breaks completely and a fragment pierces out through the skin.

(v) Evulsive fracture - A small piece breaks off fully from the bone but remains attached to the ligament.
