Explain Cardiac Type of TAPVC (Draining into Coronary Sinus) ?
Initial steps of the operation are the same as described earlier. The right atrium is opened and the roof of the coronary sinus is excised so that it freely communicates with left atrium and fossa ovalis. The resulting large ASD is closed with a pericardial patch. Separate patches are used to close the widened PFO and coronary sinus.
