Describe the roles of the sponsor.

The sponsor’s role is to signify the organisation commissioning the project and to create the main business decisions relating this. The sponsor must approve the creative project initiation document and decide upon any further changes of scope. It is also the ‘internal champion’ of the certain project and onto occasion, should ‘knock heads together’ where different users cannot agree upon the project’s direction. At the conclusion of the project, this is the sponsor who should accept from the project teams the different deliverables given.
