Question: You are performing a reverse transcription (RT) reactions for high-throughput analysis using a 96-well plate format. Each 96-well plate is 8 horizontal rows of wells by 12 vertical columns of wells. You need to set up the entire 96-well plate will identical RT components except for the particular primers that you will be using. Each of the 8 columns on the plate will get it's own unique primer pair. The best way to accomplish this is to produce a 1 giant mastermix containing all the necessary components minus the primers, and then aliquot the primers as needed into the 8 columns. RT reactions require the following components: buffer, template RNA, dNTPs, RT polymerase, primers, and water. The final volume of each RT reaction is 25 ul.Reagents available:2X RT Buffer50 uM dNTPs537 ug/ul RNA1.0 units/ul RNA polymerasePrimer mix at 100 uMSterile waterBased on your protocol, each RT reaction requires: 1X RT buffer, 5 uM dNTPs, 50 ng/ul RNA, 0.5 units of RT polymerase, and 10 uM each primer.(A)How much of each component will you need for 1 RT reaction? Show your work(B)How much of each component will you need for a mastermix for all 96 reactions? Show your work.
Phosphorous is needed to synthesize the deoxyribonucleoside thriphosphates used in DNA replication. A geneticist grows some E. coli in a medium containing nonradioactive phosphorous for many generations.
By this time, 35 cells of V. vulnificus have gotten into your blood. However, the doxycycline does slow the growth of the bacteria considerably to a generation time of twelve hours.
A cell with a 5 percent concentration of salt in it is placed in a solution with a 15 percent concentration of salt. Imagine that the cell is permeable to water but not to salt.
In labrador retreivers, black fur color is dominant to chocolate fur. A breeder crosses two heterozygous labs, resulting in a litter of nine puppies.
Will a person suffering from dehydration have urine with high or low specific gravity? What will happen to specific gravity when a person drinks large amount of water?
Explain the sites and actions of the cardioinhibitory and cardioacceleratory centers and also discuss the factors that affect heart rate and stroke volume.
Fats in the diet have satiety value they stay in stomach longer so we feel fuller longer. Fats provide protective coatings on the body surfaces to help prevent dehydration. Lipids - 2 what are the main categories of lipids found in humans.
