You are studying a biochemical pathway in the bread mold NEUROSPORA crassa that is involved in the production of the compound C. You know that compounds A,B,D,E,F are required in this pathway, but you do not know the order in which they are synthesized. In order to study this, you isolate five auxotrophic strains that cannot synthesize compound C. Each of these strains has a single mutation affecting a single step of the pathway. From the following table infer the biochemical pathway and determine in which step each auxotroph has a mutaion. ("+" represents growth of the auxotroph on minimal meduim supplemented with the compund. ("-" represents no growth of the auxotroph on minimal meduim supplemented with the compound)
Mutants A B C D E F1 - - + - + -2 - + + + + +3 - + + - + -4 - - + - - -5 - + + - + +
What phenotypic ratio would you get if you crossed a white mouse and a heterozygous brown mouse?
Compare and contrast prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. If shape and colour of radishes are both due to genes with partly dominant alleles, crossing two dihybrid heterozygotes will produce how many different phenotypes.
To be able to run and play requires lots of energy. The Oreo supplies both dietary fiber and glucose that are metabolically quick energy sources.
What caused the symptoms? What treatment has to have been administered in July? What treatment must be administered 2 years later.

Explain the general pattern of alternation of generation in plants. Explore why the gametophyte has been reduced to a part (or parasite) of the sporophyte as plants have evolved. Present and defend your finding. Please list sources used. Write in Tim..
Consider that, in the hypothetical study given in the table below, cases underestimated their exposure and, as a result, 20% of exposed cases were falsely classified as unexposed.
Explain the etiology and genetics of disease phenylketonuria (PKU) Phenylketonuria (PKU) refers to a disease found within humans in which the affected individual does not have enzyme phenylalanine hydroxylase.
How many cups of the coffee would you have to drink to reach the dose (10mM) needed to interfere along with the DNA replication checkpoint mechanism?
What effect do you think EBV would have on B cell function. What phenotypes would you expect in the F2, and in what actual numbers (not ratios) will you expect to find out them.
What effect might this have on cell lineages during development. Describe the physical changes that would occur in SIM medium if you inoculated an organism that was negative for hydrogen sulfide but positive for indole production and motility.
While hairless hamsters are mated with normal haired hamsters, about one-half the offspring are hairless and one-half are normal. When hairless hamsters are crossed with each other, ratio of normal-haired to hairless is 1:2. How do you account for re..
