Affordable Care Act (ACA) is signed into law by the US President Barack Obama on March 23, 2010 that provided new “Patient’s Bill of Rights” of the American people as they make informed choices about their health. The ACA main goals are enhancing quality and affordability of health care, reducing the health care cost, and expedition of public and private insurance coverage at lowering the uninsured rate. This law impacts on the sales volume, net income and overall performance of the hospitals.

The hospital faced problems to improve its performance and reduce cost due to the changes in the environment and business policy related to health care (U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, 2014).The ACA will likely change reimbursement for health care service, so the hospital’s CEO should be applied new strategy or new plan’s cost to the hospital and the issues with patients those can afford regular health care coverage to reduce impact of this act on reimbursement for health care services
