We want a program, a logic, we can list the intermediate films sandwiched between the 2 tapes (from - to) that indicates the user.

example:

From	to
RF10001	RF10010
100A00	100B12
00A36B	00B91F

In ascending order, followed by the digits digits and characters, characters. ie:
0-1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9 (and if it increases after the leftmost part, again 0-1-2 ...) ABCD ...-Z

You may feel like given that the 2 films in their respective fields would be similar number or character. This means that there will never be compared between FR1000 and FR100A0
