Dreamweaver contain two visual design views-Standard view & Layout view. You'll begin by working in Layout view, which let you to draw layout cells or layout tables in which you can add content like text, images or other media.

In this part of the tutorial, you will lay out the page; in the next section you will add content. (Once you're comfortable with these two tasks, you might determine it easier to insert layout & content together.)

1. In the Objects panel, click on the Layout View icon if it isn't selected already.

The Getting Started in Layout View dialog box appears & defines the Layout view options.

2. Review the options, and then click onto OK to close the dialog box.

3. In the Objects panel under Layout notice that the Layout options-Draw Layout Cell & Draw Layout Table-are now obtainable; these options aren't obtainable in Standard view.
