Q. Why is informal organization needed?

The pace of communication flow through the informal channels is faster than formal channels. Several tasks which can't be accomplished by formal organization can be completed by informal organization. Informal organization promotes cooperation between people. Informal organization provides personal attachment, job satisfaction and status to workers. Therefore informal organization is needed for any organization.
