Q. Which are the phases of the menstrual cycle?

The menstrual cycle is divided into two major phases: the luteal (or secretory) phase and the follicular (or menstrual) phase.

The menstrual phase begins at the first day of menses also lasts until ovulation (around the 14th day). The luteal phase begins after ovulation also ends when menses begins (around the 28th day).
