Assignment Help:

Where are the adrenal glands located? How many are they and what are their portions?

Each adrenal gland is located on the top of every kidney (forming a hat-like structure for the kidneys), so there are two glands. The adrenal parenchymal structure is separated into two portions: the most peripheral is the cortical portion, or adrenal cortex, and the central is the medullary portion, or adrenal medulla.
