What is this distance expressed in standard notation, Mathematics

Assignment Help:

The distance from the sun to the earth is approximately 9.3 × 107 miles. What is this distance expressed in standard notation?

In order to convert this number to standard notation, multiply 9.3 through the factor of 107. Since 107 is equal to 10,000,000, 9.3 × 10,000,000 is equal to 93,000,000. As an equivalent solution and move the decimal point in 9.3 seven places to the right because the exponent on the 10 is positive 7.
