When this is Impossible inadvisable, surgeon aims for one ventricle corrections. The underlying condition may be tricuspid atresia and number of other conditions with univentricular AV connection. The basic surgical correction is achieved by Fontan operation or one of its numerous modifications. The principle of this aperatinn is direct channelling of systemic venous drainage into the pulmonary artery bypassing the RV.
