What is OCR?

OCR (Optical Character Recognition) is a technology that enables you to change different types of machine-readable documents, like scanned paper documents, PDF files or images captured by a digital camera into editable and searchable data. This technology would permit you to recognize letters on the image, put them into words and then these words into sentences.
