What is Negative Exponents explain?

Here's a problem which results in a negative exponent:

34/37 = 3(4-7) = 3-3

A negative exponent means the same thing as making the value into a fraction, one over the exponential expression, and removing the negative sign on the exponent.

3-3 = 1/33

The final answer is about 0.037.

Here are more examples of negative exponents.

2-3 = 1/23
3-4 = 1/34
4-5 = 1/45
