What is Metric System explain in brief?
There are two main systems of measurement in use today. Most countries in the world use the Metric System. In only three countries-the U.S., Liberia, and Myanmar (Burma), the primary system is called the English System.
The Metric System
Like the English System, the Metric System is used to measure length, distance, and weight.
Length and distance is usually measured in millimeters, centimeters, meters, and kilometers. The following is a table showing measurements of length and distance:
The meter (m) is the base value.1 kilometer (km) = 1000 m1 hectometer (hm) = 100 m1 decameter (dam) = 10 m1 meter (m) = 1 m1 decimeter (dm) = 0.1 m1 centimeter (cm) = 0.01 m1 millimeter (mm) = 0.001 m
Weight is measured in milligrams, grams, and kilograms. The following is a table showing different measurements of weight:The gram (g) is the base value1 kilogram (kg) = 1000 g1 gram (g) = 1 g1 milligram (mg) = 0.001 g
Equations of Planes Earlier we saw a couple of equations of planes. Though, none of those equations had three variables in them and were actually extensions of graphs which we
A car travels at a rate of (4x2 - 2). What is the distance this car will travel in (3x - 8) hours? Use the formula distance = rate × time. Through substitution, distance = (4x2
