What is Lysosomes?
Lysosomes : Animal and fungal cells contain membrane-bound organelles called lysosomes, which are filled with digestive enzymes.
These digestive enzymes break down food particles, bacteria captured by white blood cells, and cellular debris. They are also active during embryonic development. During the formation of more specialized or highly differentiated structures, enzymes break down relatively undifferentiated tissue.
