What is hydrogen bonds?
Hydrogen Bonds : Hydrogen bonds form between polar molecules, such as water. Each water molecule has two positively charged hydrogen poles, and one negatively charged oxygen pole. When two water molecules meet, oppositely charged poles are attracted to each other, forming a hydrogen bond, while similarly charged poles repel each other.
A hydrogen bond is frequently represented by a dotted line between the hydrogen and oxygen of adjacent molecules of water or of carbon compounds containing hydrogen and oxygen. Although hydrogen bonds are formed and broken at a rapid rate, they are important in organizing the constituents of living cells.
