What is Electro osmosis ?
Electro osmosis : Electroosmosis is the movement of charged molecules along a charged surfaces in response to a voltage difference. For example, even though glass does not normally conduct electricity, a glass surface is covered with negative charges from the arrangement of the molecules of silicon dioxide and other constituents of glass. These molecules attact and orient water molecules, making them susceptible to movement in an electric field. This quality has made it possible to use electroosmotic pumps to remove water from deep wells, where conventional pumps are ineffective. The process is also believed to move molecules along membrane surfaces in living cells.
