Assignment Help:

Diagnostic Wax Up

A diagnostic wax up should be done by you or got done from a laboratory for each and every case regardless of the extent or difficulty level of the case as it provides a peek into the expected outcome of the treatment and thus helps to plan in the correct way i.e. from the end result backwards.

On the articulated diagnostic casts the proposed replacement teeth can be positioned on the casts by the technician using either denture teeth or teeth carved in wax. The diagnostic set-up therefore determines the number and position of the teeth to be replaced and their occlusal relationship with the opposing dentition.
