What is bolt elongation, Mechanical Engineering

Assignment Help:

Q. What is Bolt Elongation?

The required bolt elongation Δ1 may be calculated by the equation (7):

Δ1 = 3.25 * 10-8 * SB * L0 (in) (7)

Where L0 is the effective bolt length and SB is the desired bolt stress.
