What is Anti-arrhythmic pacemaker defibrillators ?

Antiarrhythmic drugs (AADs) are classified according to whether they exert blocking actions predominantly on sodium, potassium, calcium channels or betaadrenoceptors. Vaughan Williams classification is widely known and provides a useful framework in which lo consider antiarrhythmic drugs. A more realistic view of antiarrhythmic agents is provided by the "Sicilian gambit" approach to drug classification which is based on pharmacological site of action.
