What is 16-bit isa, compare it with 8-bit isa bus, Electrical Engineering

Assignment Help:

What is 16-bit ISA? Compare it with 8-bit ISA bus.

The only difference among the 8 and 16-bit ISA bus is that other connector is attached behind the 8-bit connector. This 16-bit ISA card contains two edge connectors. Individual plugs in the original 8-bit connector and other plugs in the 16-bit connector. The added features which are most frequently used are DMA request signals and the additional interrupt request inputs. Interfaces determined for the ISA bus are modems and sound cards.
