What do you mean by the term dependency, Project Management

Assignment Help:

What do you mean by the term dependency? How can project dependencies be shown for planning reasons?

Dependency arises when, for illustration, task or deliverable 'A' should be completed before task or deliverable 'B can be begun. In a complicated project, the analysis of dependencies assists to classify streams of work which can be performed in parallel, therefore shortening the overall duration of the project. The usual way which dependencies are represented is onto a dependency diagram, also termed as a network diagram or a PERT chart. Microsoft Project also demonstrates dependencies on the bar/Gantt chart through vertical connections among task bars but it can get somewhat confusing onto a huge or complicated project.
