Assignment Help:

Q. What do you know Zoological Parks?

Zoological park has two faced aspects, the relationship between man and beast. There is awe and there is slaughter. There is worship and there is destruction. The feeling for wild animals is still there, but there is no opportunity to give vent to that feeling. For the vast majority of people alive today there is only one place to come close to wild animals -The Zoo.

The facts and figures tell only part of the story but it bring us to a question as why do people go to the zoo. It will not surprise you to learn that almost a third of all zoo visits are promoted by children or putting it in other words nearly two thirds go to the zoo because it is a good place to take children. However, if is believed that people visit zoos because there is something very rewarding abut being in the
presence of wild animals. Respect for animals, contempt for animals, oneness with animals, all are feelings that we need to express and we can do so at the zoo. Also, it is interesting to look not at the animals, but at the people to really understand the lure of the zoo.

Extinction is a fact of life. More than 99 per cent of all species that have ever lived are alive no longer. Those that exist at present will not last forever. According to Dr. Norman Myers, the noted conservationist, "It is not unreasonable to suppose that we are losing at least one species per day." The rate of extinction is important because it bffers zoos their justification. Zoos can save species from extinction.
