What are wall footings? Explain in short.

Generally wall footings are required to support direct concentric loads. However, an exception is the wall footings for retaining walls when they have to resist eccentric inclined loads. A wall footing may be of either plain or concrete as:

a. Plain Concrete Footing

b. Reinforced Concrete Footing
