What are the functions of Trade Unions?

The functions of trade unions are as follow:

a. The provision of friendly services as like a place for leisure pursuits, information regarding jobs existing into other games, outings and factories.

b. The provision of social services as like insurances in opposition to old age, payment, joblessness, pay, strike for hospital fee and legal services.

c. Wage bargaining, which collective wages are bargaining along with the employers.

d. Safeguarding the work of the employees

e. Political activities, which is the political pressure for reform, for example trade union legislation works to defend the union and the workers through such industrial abuses like delay into payment of wages, excessive times of work and poor working conditions and more.f. To develop cooperation along with employers.

g. To arouse public opinion for labour.

h. To protected some shares into profit and during the control of the enterprise.
