Virtual Manufacturing System

Virtual manufacturing system or VMS is a synthetic, integrated manufacturing environment, developed by using information technology tools, exercised to improve all levels of controls and decisions. Virtual manufacturing system achieves the objectives of shorter time-to-market and superior production flexibility through permitting the visualization of interacting production processes, process scheduling, planning, assembly planning, logistics from the line to the enterprise, and associated processes as like: accounting, management and purchasing. The Virtual Manufacturing structure is demonstrated in following figure.
