Q. Define Print Resolution of printers?
Print Resolution is the detail which a printer can give considered by how many dots a printer can put in each inch of paper. So the unit of resolution is Dots per inch. This is appropriate to both non-impact and impact printer though actual quality will rely on technology of the printer.
Required resolution to a great extent considers the quality of output and time taken to print it. There is a trade-off amidtime andquality. Lower resolution determines faster printing and low quality. High resolution determines slower printing of a higher quality. There are 3 readymade resolution modes: draft, near letter quality (NLQ) and letter quality. Draft provides lower resolution print and letter quality higher resolution.
