Impact Factor on Vessel rigging analysis?

Unless otherwise specified by the user, a minimum impact factor of 1.5 shall be applied to the lift weight for designing the lifting devices. The basis for the lift weight must be established during the design phase of the vessel, so that the design of lifting devices includes all components to be included in the lift (e.g. trays, ladders/platforms, insulation, additional piping with insulation, etc.).
