Use MATLAB and a method based on linear predictive coding for the restoration of a clipped voiced speech signal.
My proposed algorithm is based on linear prediction where a recorded speech is clipped to some level and then use either least square estimation or kalman filtering to compute the prediction coefficients. The values of the clipped samples are estimated using interpolation on the basis of non-clipped sections. The restored values of the samples are calculated from the interpolation results and reconstructed using both forward and backward based on linear prediction. We can use levinson Durbin in the Signal Processing toolbox.
My main problem is getting the matlab codes to test this algorithm.
