Upset butt welding machines
These are usually small capacity horizontal type machines. The power source required for these is a step down transformer as in the case of spot, seam or projection welding.
Either manual clamping or clamping with springs or air cylinder is employed. Timing is accomplished using a limit switch operated by the movement of the platen or an automatic timer.
