Treaty on Principles governing the activities of States

The Treaty on Principles governing the activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer space, including the moon and other celestial bodies signed in 1967, states that the use of outer space would be in accordance with international law, and should be in the interest of other legislations covering the ambit of air and outer space, as follows:

Convention on Registration of Objects launched into Outer Space 1975;

Convention on International Liability for Damage caused by Space Objects 1972;

Agreement on the Rescue of Astronauts, the Return of Astronauts and the return of Objects into Outer Space 1968 and

Principles relevant to the use of Nuclear Power in Outer Space 1992.
