Treasury auction process, Financial Management

All treasury securities are issued on the basis of auction. The auction process is computerized and hence qualified broker-dealers can access it electronically. The US Department of Treasury prescribes procedure for auctioning the treasury securities. It also determines the time of auction and the maturity of the instrument.
