Switching Characteristics

Switching  characteristics are also know  as dynamic or transient characteristics these  characteristics give  the information  about the  time  variation with  different  voltage across  teh thyrisotr and time variation with  different  currents through  thyristor when  thyristor comes from  forwards  off state to on state  ( turn on period)  and from  on state to  forward  blocking  state ( turn off period)  the switching characteristics of SCR  are shown  in figure.
