SURGERY FOR CORONARY ARTERY DISEASE : Stenotic coronary artery disease (CAD) is caused by the thickening and narrowing of the coronary arteries (Atherosclerosis). Initially it causes chest pain on effort (stable angina) and progression of the disease 1-esults in unstable angina or myocardial infarction (MI). The modalities of treatment arc medical, percutaneous invasive procedure (PCI) like angioplasty, stenting and operative procedure like coronary artesy bypass surgery (CABG).
