Stolen Goods - Sales of Goods
Where goods have been stolen and had been the thief has been prosecuted and convicted, such the property in the goods revests in like original owner. Although this is so even whether the goods had been resold or otherwise dealt regarding to in the meantime so.
Further this provision may be viewed like supplementing the provisions of the Penal Code pertaining to theft through making it impossible to a client of a thief to plead his innocence like a ground for retaining stolen goods. However this rule should make people extremely careful whether buying goods so like they do not buy them from a thief. Moreover it really happened thieves would have no buyers and would be forced to abandon stealing.
