Step growth or condensation polymerisation
In this form of polymerisation monomers usually consist of two functional sets, that is difunctional monomers. In that method no initiator is required and each step is similar type of chemical reaction. As in that polymerisation reaction the polymer is made in a stepwise manner. It is described as step growth polymer and the process is described as step growth polymerisation. The process for two monomer A and B can be expressed as.
