State the types of foundations

We saw the different types of foundations commonly adopted for specific situation. In actual practice the situations are not very simple both in respect of loadings or soil condition. Besides, other considerations like availability of equipment, cost, time and environment may have to be taken into account. A judicious combination of different types of foundations and also some ground improvement methods can provide the best solution.
